What made me happy this week - 13/52

With things slowly returning to normal round here now that TOF is out of hospital, my garden is once again the source of happiness for me.  This time in the form of a rather lovely Bumble Bee that I rescued off the ground away from inquisitive dogs and a young cat!!

Bumble was a little under the weather
so I went inside to make some
sweet water to help revive the poor thing.

Amazing how this Bee was happy to just rest on my hand
before and after the sweet drink.

Someone else decided the sweet water was pretty tasty too.

Hopefully Bumble will survive to see another day!!

PS:  Thank you for all your lovely words of support, I promise to get my shit together and do a proper blog soon.  TOF is beginning his slow recovery back to full health, one day at a time round here.  But so far so good.

Glad to hear TOF is out of hospital, Sue. And isn't it fantastic to be able to help a worn out bumble bee. They're such wonderful creatures, aren't they? Had to smile at Toebee having a taste of the sweet water. Our Phoebe eats crumbs of bread we put out for the birds, out of jealousy ... xxx

TOF, take each day slowly, a week at a time and you will see progress slowly take over. And Sue, take time for yourself as well, enjoy the early morning sunrise and that coffee, as you and Toebee survey the garden together. I often rescue stick insects that have somehow made their way inside. As trick as a Bumble Bee to re-locate them.

Aww I love that you looked after the bee. So kind of you.

Hope TOF is getting back to normal. It does take a while and he has to remember to take it easy. Put his feet up and watch the Commonwealth Games. Overdoing it is no good - he needs to relax and mend.

Well done for rescuing the bee. My Pippin likes to catch them; we can always tell when she's caught one as she comes in with one half of her face all swollen up.
