Lunch date in the sky

Today I had a lunch date booked with two of my cousins.

Such a beautiful day
and
a lunch date
required some colourful dressing.

This is what I came up with!
( lets call it Green Envy!)

But before I met the ladies for lunch I had a quick trip out to Dawns as she had just unloaded her kiln and was delivering this afternoon, so photos it was.

Of course it was all rather gorgeous and I came home with the caravan in the top right hand corner of this photo.

I was to meet my cousins in Garden Place.  This is a central spot in the main central business district in town.  I used to love this place but over the years our local council has butchered what was a beautiful spot to chill with your friends.  No doubt the council will tear this apart and waste another pile of rate payers money to try something else, but it will never be as good as it used to be.

The cafe we had lunch at is called 'Milk & Honey' and is at the very top of the building with the arrow pointing to it.  I fell in love with this gigantic pottery pot but alas even my handbag wasn't big enough for it.  HUGE it was and had the most amazing glaze.

 Just look at the view!

My lovely lunching ladies!
Jan top Annette bottom.

Jan and I had stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon with relish and salad (left) and Annette had a Tofu and beetroot stack (right).

Trust me, lunch was divine!!

I had some saucepans I had bought off trade me to pick up from one of the many restaurants in our main street.  I found a good park and then discovered this art on the alley way wall.  Very Banksy. I like that old buildings like this old Bank are now eateries.

Tex and I made the most of the afternoon sun in the back garden before coming inside to close up shop for the evening.  Heater is on and I am currently snacking on chips and dip! I think tonight will be a non dinner night, more of a snack night.  Works for me!!

I have had a totally fabulous day!!

That is such a lovely shade of green-envy indeed. If I owned it I'd never take it off!

A snack night sounds like an excellent idea, I might put that to use around here.

Have a terrific weekend.

Always a special treat for the artists among us when we read "...went to Dawn's"!

The huge pot at the restaurant would make a marvelous garden accent!

I love snack nights! My favourite is to make nachos for dinner. The lovely lunch ladies look like they are fun to be with and that food looks darn good too. I want one of those sweet little houses though I'd be afraid of my cat knocking it over and breaking it.
