One of those Gadget buying weekends.

I am one of those sad people that loves reading the junk mail that regularly gets deposited in my letterbox.  I should have a sign saying 'Junk Mail Welcome' or Yes please, Junk Mail'.  Anyway while flicking through the pages of said junk mail I came across a 'Gadget' that I have wanted but couldn't afford, and it was half price as in only $99!!!

On Saturday
I went and got one!!!

Yes indeedy
A soup maker!!

All last Winter when having lunch at Dawns she would often whip us up some gorgeous vegetable soup, and it was always so dam yum.  My soup had courgettes, kumara, and leek in it.  It was divine!  You can also use this gadget as a blender, a jug, and other fabulous things so my old blender is going flatting when Jak does.  I have quite a collection of things growing in the garage for him.  Soup is such a winter thing, like wise using the heater, not that I could get anywhere near it last night.

At least the three of them share!!

Today while out and about in the morning I decided that Gadget number two needed to be purchased!  I saw a crimping iron the other day and then discovered this baby!!  Wave Envy.

I can have wave envy hair in a matter of minutes and
I like it!!
(On sale too so it was meant to be!!)

This is so true!
TOF earned the money
and I have just
gone and got the goods.

Now that is
TEAMWORK!!

Love some homemade soup in the winter, its our staple diet. The waves are fab, too. x

I ratehr like that crimp effect! Much softer than my 80's one, which still works a treat, but gives MAJOR crinkle!
YAY for gadgets. I'm a bit obsessed, my favourite being my slow cooker/rice cooker/pressure cooker/bar tender. Couldn't imagine life without it. I just have a whizzy stick thing for soups, though. Love soup.

Oh I am fond of a gadget or two … and that soup maker would be wonderful … but alas I haven't a square centimetre of storage left in my kitchen cupboards.

Seems to be soup making weather! I have made two pots of the stuff this weekend as an invitation to winter to come visit me!
Like the curly hair gadget. The team work poster is awesome. Happy week to you.

I've never owned a blender that was useful for anything requiring a good puree-I'll keep my eye out for this one, it looks like it might be just the thing. I'm a fan of the hand-cranked food mill, but it does leave most of the fibre out.

I like the idea of a crimping iron-so much easier than sleeping on a head full of tiny braids.

Gadgets are fab! a soup maker sound excellent, cooks and whizzes and no extra washing - and the crimpers! why haven't my daughters got this awesome accessory (I just borrow their hair stuff, it's like a hairdressers/salon/parlour/mess in the Eldest's room) your wavy hair is gorgeous and 'conversations through a toilet door' should be the name of a book (I have them too, we get no peace!) x x x

Excellent team work! Well done! I love your wavy hair and the soup looks delicious. I find making soup quite enjoyable but styling my hair not so much. Tell me that wave gadget is easy to use though and I might be tempted!
