In our house it is called WooHoo Wednesday.

Well that is what TOF always calls it!
I would call it a whole lot of other 'W' words for today.

It has been wet, windy and wild
but amazingly enough
still warm.
Well when I say warm I mean
it is not freezing cold.

My old prayer flags are still getting blown about.

My Washing is on the deck under cover
still trying to dry.

Confidant this has now happened.

Inside the White dog is doing
his best to keep warm.

But keeping a safe distance between him
and Tex on the floor to the right.

What an empty Wine glass?
One is enough for me.

I get the feeling I am being
watched!

Some of my Wind-chimes
that drive TOF
NUTS!

My chair is rather
Weather-beaten
but still I love it.

What??
Wrinkles!
I like to call them my laughter lines.

WooHoo Wednesday!!
You get one of these every week.

So enjoy it.

Today was....

A mixed bag kind of day on the weather side of things.
A productive day at work.
And
a Red, Black and White kinda day for me.

A little bit of prancing
in the back yard
in the new
boots.

Sometimes
the funniest things
are going on right behind you!!

Tonight I went out for dinner with a couple of lovely old friends.

We met through our kids when they were small and we still catch up every now and again.  Usually there is five of us but one lives out of town (yes you Denise) and one had an appointment (Mother Morton, you were both missed), so us three enjoyed a lovely meal, a couple of drinks, and a dam good catch up.  Actually us three all have husbands working away at the moment, so it was an excellent time to get together.  To busy chatting to take photos!!

But we are a long way off
eating soft foods
and knitting!!

Flowers in my garden and even on my boots!!

Today my new to me floral Dr Martens got to have a day out!!

 Hell yeah,
cop a look at those boots!!

They got to go out on their very first
SuesDay.

Such insanely comfortable boots!!
I am in love with them.
(maybe I should get some plain ones??)

No decent SuesDay is complete
without another Sue.

We of course had a fabulous time out and about
our favourite shops.

Everyone needs a crazy friend,
Sue is mine and I am hers!
(our sons often remark that they should not have introduced us to each other)

Sue filled up half of the back seat of my car.
I only scored the Standard Lamp,
but it is for my sister.
But
these way cool boots arrived in the post,
yes another delightful little
trade me purchase!!
(having to go flat now as my rolled ankle is not going to cope with the highs!)

But of course I did.
I wasn't working.

Goodbye weekend its been nice!

Of course for me my weekend still carries on tomorrow.
Yay for me!!

TOF has been home for the weekend but heading back up north in the morning.  Only for two weeks this time so that should be much easier to deal with.

We had a nice relaxing and also productive weekend.

Saturday morning after a leisurely breakfast of bacon and eggs we headed out to the shopping centre near where we live.  TOF needed some new casual trainer type shoes as his were totally knackered. In fact I made him put them in the bin and wear the new ones out of the shop.  Brand spanking sparkling bright white!!  We had coffee and cake at a very nice cafe and then wandered through the mall where I found the above Jelly boots.  On sale for only, good saying that one, only $35!!  I can walk in puddles in these babies!!

Of course the afternoon saw us both sideline at Jaks rugby game.

The weather was inconsistent for us supports with the rain arriving, then the wind, then it all disappeared and it was pleasant again.  The game was good but a bit to much argy bargy for my liking and adults on the sideline loudly voicing their opinions was really starting to get on my nerves.  If TOF hadn't been there I probably would have told them all to pull their heads in but he was there and I had to behave!

Today rocked up and turned on the sunshine, so there was a reasonable amount of sitting on the deck enjoying hot drinks in between spots of gardening, and kicking the ball for Sheba.  I picked  a pile of Lemons and we planted piles of Strawberry plants.

The man about the house toiled away in the garden,
pruning and weeding the vege plot
with Sheba keeping a close eye on him all the time.

The trailer got filled up all ready for a dump run.
The hung over youth decided to water blast the concrete.
And the girls ventured out into the back yard.

Just so you know I wasn't sitting
on my tush doing nothing,
I remade the bed with fresh linen and a new duvet cover.
Oh and I baked scones,
sultana ones for my hardworking lads.

This sight made me smile.
(his washing finally got done)
Good lad,
all part of that training program
for independent living!!

This evening we feasted on a delicious Pork roast, one from our pig we grew.  Both lads were home for dinner with mummy and daddy!!  Really nice to be altogether for no reason other than having a good meal and enjoying each others company.  Desert was apple crumble with Ginger nut Ice Cream, and OMG that ice cream was amazeball!!

For all you poor buggers that have to go to work tomorrow!!
(because I feel for you)

Sunshine, and on a Friday!!

I love Friday.

For starters I don't have to go to work, oh yeah!!  I got up at 6am to feed the animals, grab my newspaper and a cuppa, then back to bed I went, Mmmmm!!!  Jak went to work, goodbye 'Sucker' and I went back to sleep, because I could!!

I had my breakfast (at 9:30am) on the deck in the beautiful Winter sunshine, so I apologise to Winter for being such a bitch about it being cold, you are forgiven for allowing the sunshine to visit my back yard.  My washing was hanging about on the line dancing in the breeze and basically having a jolly old time.  Tex joined me and the dogs, he discovered those new steps and retired for the morning.

I went out to drop some things off at Habitat and then went and got TOF some Aniseed Wheels, they are his favourite lolly.  Whizzed back home and had lunch outside totally making the most of the good weather.  I managed to drag myself away from the warmth of the back yard and did the housework.  YES you heard correct, I cleaned!!!!!!!

Did I mention I scored these boots??

Well I did managed to visit
two Op Shops while out and picked these up
for $6, bargin!!

Tex stayed on those stairs
and the sun continued to shine in the palest,
clear blue sky.

I love you Winter!!

Yeah, Friday takes a bit of beating
when the sun is shining!!

Have a fabulous weekend.
TOF is home
so life is good in this house.

I decided I needed to harden the @#%! up...

.....So I came out of my self imposed
hibernation.

The sun actually came out
for a time today
so I went and sat in it!!

Oh sun glorious sun
how I have missed you!!!

I medicated myself
and got on with the day!!

Tex and I made a pact
to get over being down on Winter
and get our acts
together.
We are just going to chill out doing
whatever we want to do!!

So we ate Chips!!

And we did a whole lot of
nothing in the sun.

Then I went and did the supermarket shopping!!

I feel better now, no more Winter blues.

With wave envy hair, a Blood red coat over a brown dress, with animal print leggings and red flower boots and a cute little brooch I took today by the balls and got on with it.

I think that knowing TOF will be home tomorrow for the weekend has also helped my mood.  Only a weekend and then away for another couple of weeks.

But I will take it!!

Hey thanks to all of you out there that
want to join in on being a
BEAR!!
We are going to have some serious fun.

I wanna be a Bear!

Another grey, wet and miserable day turned up today,
and I didn't like it one little bit!!

 I had an Eyore moment.

Then gave hibernation a serious thought!!

Usually the weather isn't something I care too much about, but this stuff is a real downer.  Maybe it is because TOF is still away.  I sent him a text suggesting he tell his boss he needs to come home as his wife is sick.  Yeah, Sick of him being away, take that you MOFO Boss!!!

In an effort to lift my spirits I layered on the colours.

Ahhh, that's better.

I even found some colour in the garden.
Down back where
the girls live!

Me and the fur children snuggled to keep warm.
They don't like all this rain either.

Anyone care to join me?
